Alexandra leads the Employment Team and is a Senior Associate Solicitor with over 13 years’ post qualification experience specialising in employment law and litigation. Alexandra trained with the Practice and following qualification, gained experience in two commercial law firms specialising in employment law. She also served on secondment with an international law firm advising UK and multinational clients on Irish employment law issues, before returning to the Practice in October 2017.

Alexandra provides commercially focused advice, both contentious and non-contentious in nature advising corporate and private clients on the legal issues arising out of the employment relationship. Alexandra advises on day-to-day issues such as employment contracts, policies and procedures, all forms of employee leave of absence, data protection, grievance and disciplinary matters, protected disclosures, workplace investigations and performance management. Alexandra regularly advises on the termination of the employment relationship including claims of unfair dismissal, equality and discrimination claims, redundancy, occupational stress and bullying claims and the preparation and review of severance agreements. Alexandra also advises on the enforcement of restrictive covenants and the merits of seeking injunctive relief in the High Court. She regularly appears before the Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court and the Civil Courts.

Alexandra also advises corporate/employer clients on the employment issues arising out of corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, business transfers, share sales, together with compliance with the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations (TUPE).

Alexandra has extensive experience in the area of litigation and dispute resolution, including representing clients in the Circuit Court and High Court. She also advises clients on all forms of alternative dispute resolution including mediation and negotiating settlements on behalf of her clients.

Alexandra holds a Diploma in Employment Law and Certificate in Pension law and Practice from the Law Society of Ireland. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association of Ireland, and is also admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
